Hello, I am Akash Sharma, an experimental artist exploring electro-acoustic improvisation, data manipulation and algorithmic composition. I am dealing with sound from a very global perspective – from an aesthetic, physical, electronic and computational point of view.
Thanks to the simultaneous use of several artistic languages my work shows a large diversity, ranging from software, to hardware over human-machine relations, art installations and interfaces.
I founded Sound.Codes as a sound research lab in an effort to streamline the data gathering process of “acoustic signatures” as acoustic conservation (archaeoacoustics) and along the way started designing customised immersive experiences and customised solutions for artists and businesses. As Sound.Codes I am developing hardware, software, multimedia installations and performances.
